What is Homotoxicology?
Homotoxicology was founded in 1952 from Dr Reckeweg as
an extension of classic Homoeopathy. It is the area of
study that is based on the belief that diseases are
caused by toxins originating inside or outside the body.
Examples of external toxins are bacteria, metals such as
mercury, micro-organisms in the gut, hormone replacement
therapy, antibiotics and chemical pollutants. Internal
toxins are generated by the body. They are either are
biologically derived, or result from post-traumatic
cellular debris.
Homotoxicological products are designed to facilitate
the body’s elimination of toxins. It generally uses
formulations which contain measurable amounts of
homoeopathically prepared active ingredients and are
used to treat specific conditions. They are often
presented to the body in the same dilution ratio as
inter cellular fluids. Homotoxicological treatment has
been used successfully in chronic diseases, inflammatory
conditions, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies and food
intolerances.
